SMITH, Thomas. Every Man his own Fisherman containing an account of the different sorts of fish, &c., in alphabetical order, with the fish laws, London: for C. Moran, [1770 or earlier?]. Small 12, mid 19th-century brown morocco [bound for Thomas Westwood?], sides with single gilt fillet, spine longitudinally lettered in gilt and dated 1770. Provenance: Thomas Westwood (1814-88, bookplate).
FIRST AND ONLY EDITION, OF CONSIDERABLE RARITY. According to ESTC, the date of publication may be 1765, slightly earlier than the 1770 date tooled on the spine of this copy and given in Westwood's bibliography. W. & S. p. 197; Petit 1961: "Trs rare".
