In the Louis XV style, the domed top with putto finial, above the rectangular arched case with figural pilasters to the canted angles, the gilt circular dial with twelve enamel hour cartouches, and a signature enamel plaque inscribed CHARLES PERSONNE D'ABBEUILLE ET AMIENS, supported by a classical maiden in a chariot, the twin train movement with anchor escapement striking a bell above, the movement signed Charles Personne D'abbeuille a Amiens, damages and losses to the brass inlay
