Provenance
Formerly in the possession of the Baronesse Trouv whose family (related to the poet Alfred de Vigny 1797-1863) lived in a palace in the Place Pacquet, Lyons. The Trouvs often visited Paris and Rome where Giulia Trouv met and married Colonel Romulo dei Marchesi Corsi (of the family Marchesi di Caiazzo from Sicily and Florence). The house in Florence they built and lived in still exists at Passeggiata di Ripetta 22, and a painting showing the Baronesse wearing the necklace is reproduced in this catalogue
