A French brass and champlev enamel striking and repeating carriage clock with alarm, last quarter 19th century
The anglaise case with polychrome enamel side panels (probably later), engine-turned mask to gilt Roman chapter ring with champlev centre, blued steel hands, conforming alarm dial below, the twin barrel movement with silvered platform to bimetallic balance with lever escapement, strike/repeat/alarm on gong to the backplate with number 824 -- 6in. (16.5cm.) high
