The hull of the schooner yacht in black velour with details, such as ships boats, crew and rigging stitched in place. The sails are silk with the panels drawn in pencil. The schooner is flying the burgee of the New York Yacht Club, a private signal and the United States Yacht Ensign. The yacht is mount on canvas which has been primed and painted to create a background for the yacht. The piece is framed in a gold frame with a burgandy velour liner.
