An English ebonised striking bracket clock
The case with brass handle to breakarch top, arched fishscale sound frets to the sides, with moulded base on ball feet, the repainted (and possibly later) white dial with Roman chapter ring and strike/silent ring in the arch, gilt-metal hands, with signature James McCabe Royal Exchange LONDON 1008, the twin chain fusee movement with anchor escapement and strike on bell, with repeat signature and pendulum holdfast to the backplate, the movement 19th century, case probably later -- 17¼in. (44cm.) high

Lots will be available for collection following transfer to Cadogan Tate from the Friday following the sale and every week-day from 9.00am to 5.00pm.
Please note that there will be no charge to purchasers who collect their lots within one week of the sale.
On the Thursday, one week after the sale, a transfer and administration charge of £18.50 per lot will be payable and a storage charge of £3.20 per lot per day will then come into effect. These charges are payable to Cadogan Tate and are subject to VAT and an insurance surcharge.
