A Meissen turquoise-ground slop-bowl
Circa 1735, blue crossed swords mark, Dreher's oo to footrim
Painted with figures at discussion in an estuary scene with turretted buildings and trees, the reverse with figures at discussion among casks and packages on a quayside before ships with mountains in the distance within gilt ogival cartouches, the interior with a similar scene reserved on a richly gilt ground, on a gilt foot (some flaking to ground colour and slight wear to gilding of interior)
6½ in. (16.5 cm.) diam.
