Rectangular upright casket, the cover and four sides set with grey agate over red lacquer, the gold cagework mounts chased with putti and turtledoves inhabiting rocaille scrollwork entwined with garlands and husks, the wavy white enamel collar inscribed in gold with the motto L'AMOUR EXPIRE . L'AMITIÉ JAMAIS, garnet-set thumbpiece, the interior set with two-leaved tablets, two glass scent bottles with chased gold caps, gold spoon, gold capped pencil, steel handle with knife, steel tweezers, incorporated steel ear spoon and tweezers, the interior of the lid fitted with a mirror and lined with red velvet
