A RUSSIAN NEEDLEWORK CORRIDOR CARPET
Probably St Petersburg, circa 1850
The ice-blue field with tan floral sprays around columns of linked ivory cartouches containing floral bouquets with scrolling frames in a charcoal grey border of linked floral wreaths containing cruciform motifs, a stellor panel in each corner, outer light blue minor motif stripe, end panels possibly slightly later, very slight localised wear, one area of damage, backed
