of rectangular shape, each decorated with various scenes of an old man at leisure and with impressed gilt inscriptions on both sides and seals on the reverse, the cover to the box with a gilt four-character inscription within a scrolling lotus border, on a brown lacquer ground -- 9¾in. (24.7cm.) wide, (one inkstick damaged, chips to cover).
