NUMBER 8 OF 150 COPIES, EXTRA-ILLUSTRATED WITH 10 ORIGINAL WATERCOLOURS. These show houses and rural scenes associated with Tennyson, six with captions by the artist, including the poet's birthplace at Somersby Rectory, Lincolnshire, Clevedon Court, burial place of Arthur Hallam, and the Tennyson's home at Aldworth, Surrey. The designs may owe their inspiration to Helen Allingham's Homes and Haunts of Tennyson (1905). Seen above is a fine pen, ink and watercolour drawing which occurs beneath the closing lines of 'Godiva.'
