William Turner is listed at 140, Islington in 1837, and at 16, Islington in 1839. The Dictionary of English Furniture Makers, 1660-1840, Maney, Leeds, 1986.
A pair of chairs bearing the stamp of William Turner, supplied to Liverpool Town Hall, was sold from The Collection of Diane and Thomas Berger, Christies, London, 12 February, 1998, lot 420.
