With nickel-finished fully jewelled lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance, swan neck regulator, minute repeating on two polished steel hammers, gold cuvette, the white enamel dial with Arabic numerals, outer five minute divisions, gold moon-style hands, four subsidiary dials indicating month combined with leap year indicator, day, date and phases of the moon combined with lunar calendar and constant seconds, in heavy engine-turned case with raised Art Nouveau decorated initials AB to the hinged back, repeating slide and chronograph button in the band, case numbered, cuvette signed and numbered

Accompanied by Poitevin original fitted burgundy leather presentation box with stamped initials A.B. to the cover.

Bernard Poitevin was a watchmaker and retailer located in Geneva and Paris. Around 1900 he took over the watch manufacture L. Gironde and consequently the firm was renamed to Poitevin, Gironde Successeurs. They specialized in high quality watches, both with and without complications and chronometers with Geneva Bulletin d'Observatoire.
