PRESENTATION COPY INSCRIBED BY DODGSON 'Edith Mary Miller from the Author. Aug. 15/81', nine days after first meeting Edith. Enlarged third edition, with an additional 12 pages in the Doublets and Glossary, and reflecting Dodgson's new method for scoring, affecting rules 1 and 2 in the marks forfeited for each link beyond the least possible number. This edition is also larger in size and type than the first. Williams, Madan, Green and Crutch 138.
