Realistically modelled, the detachable cover reveals the lighter mechanism, engraved with an initial 'M' below a Royal Princess' coronet

The initial is that of H.R.H. The Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon.
Given on the occasion of the marriage of H.R.H. The Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon, to Antony Charles Robert Armstrong-Jones, Earl of Snowdon on 6 May 1960, by the Inhabitants of the Islands of Alderney and Guernsey.
