FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY, the front free endpaper inscribed in blue pencil, 'For Her Royal Highness Princess Margaret, with the author's humble duty, Patrick Leigh Fermor ... Feb. 1959', the inscription within a blue pencil cloudburst and eye, with a quote in Pelopennese followed by a question mark. Loosely-inserted is a 2-page autograph letter from the author to Princess Margaret thanking her for a lovely evening and complimenting her on her 'glorious interpretation of West Side Story which knocked spots off the play earlier on, for pure entertainment ...'
