(A few headlines shaved.) 17th-century green satin, sides with a daisy embroidered in relief in metal threads within a circular medallion, above and below raised embroidered petals and flat outlined leaves, back similarly embroidered, small spangles interspersed within the design, green tie (some spangles lacking, some light wear at extremities). Provenance: sold Parke Bernet, 29 November, 1948, lot 31, Emil Offenbacher agent. STC 2653.
