Original publisher's blue cloth, decorated in gilt on upper cover and spine (extremities lightly rubbed, small crack at head of spine). Provenance: Roald Amundsen (with inscription on half-title 'Roald Amundsen Buenos Aires 23/5 12.', possibly in Don Pedro Christophersen's hand), and thence by descent to the present owner.
