J. Munday, E.W. Cooke (1811-1880), 1996, p. 352, no. 42/11.
This early work dates from the artist's first flush of enthusiasm for scenes of Dutch coastal fishery. Owing to their emulation of 17th Century Dutch Old Masters, they proved immensely popular with collectors.
We are grateful to John Munday for his help in preparing this catalogue entry.
