Two similar Chinese powder blue beaker vases, gu, Kangxi
each of slender cylindrical form rising to the trumpet shaped mouth, supported on a splayed foot, the exterior covered with a mottled powder blue glaze and decorated in gilt and iron-red with a peony blossom and a bird perched on a blossoming prunus tree, with a floral ruyi-head border below the rim, the interior white glazed -- maximum 8 7/16in. (21.4cm.) high. (2)
