    Ce lot est vendu avec un avis du Comité Giacometti qui précisant '...Le modèle répertorié par le Comité étant de proportions différentes du lampadaire présenté, le Comité n'émet pas de certificat. Au cas où des élements probants relatifs aux circonstances de sa commande apparaîtraient, la fondation Alberto et Annette Giacometti inclurait (notre) lampadaire dans le catalogue raisonnée de l'artiste. Le Comité émettrait alors un certificat gratuitement'

    Nous savons que ce lamapadaire est déjà en possesion de madame Bayssac en 1950 lors de son second mariage. Née en 1909, originaire de Moutier (Jura Suisse), elle s'installe en France et se marie une première fois. En 1950, le nouveau couple est propriétaire d'un hôtel situé boulevard Pereire, Paris 17ème. En 1974, monsieur et madame Bayssac s'installent en Suisse, où madame Bayssac décède en décembre 1981.

    'GRANDE FEUILLE', A PATINATED BRONZE STANDARD LAMP BY ALBERTO GIACOMETTI, THE DESIGNED CIRCA 1934-1935, THIS ONE CAST BEFORE 1950

    This piece is sold with a letter from the Comité Gicometti explaining: "...the design of this standard lamp referenced by the Comitee has slightly different proportions so, we don't give a certificate. If new elements regarding the circumstances of the commission would be found, the Fondation Alberto et Annette Giacometti would include this piece in the catalogue raisonné and we will give a free certificate."

    We know that this standard lamp was already the Property of Mrs Bessac in 1950 when she got married for the second time. Born in 1909 in Moutier (Switzerland) she set up in France. After her second wedding, she became with her husband owner of an hotel located boulevard Pereire, Paris XVIIe. In 1974 they move back in Switzerland where Mrs Bessac died in decemeber 1981.
