A Dutch Silver-Mounted Altar Frame
mark of Jacobus van Resant, Amsterdam, 1721
Oblong, the sides with fruiting grapevines and wheat on a textured ground, the corners chased variously with cupid mask, rams mask, lion mask and a bird, engraved on the top with the sacred monogram and on the bottom with an initials below a coronet, marked on base, later fitted with a mirror plate
