SALESA, CARLOS ESPINOSA, and FRANCESCO AUGUSTINI (folding plates with a few repairs along folds). Flexible marbled paper boards (spine repaired).
De Azara's account of the funeral decorations designed for the memorial services held by the Spanish at the Church of San Giacomo in Rome in honor of CHARLES III (1716-1788), King of Spain, who died in 1788. The apparati were designed by the well-known Roman architect Giuseppe Pannini and included the commission of 6 frescos of King Charles to adorn the façade of the Iglesia de Santiago de los Españoles de Roma and an ornate memorial cairn erected within the church in honor of the King.
