Clarke, 'Das Nothumberland-service aus Meissener Porzellan', Keramos, 1975, No. 70, p. 69, pl. nos. 164 and 165.The present vase may form part of a garniture of which Clarke illustrates two vases and covers. The print source was published in three volumes between 1731 and 1738, the first volume was used at Meissen and arrived at the decorating workshop in 1745 via the court bookseller, Herr Walther.
