Engraved map of North America, finely colored, image 462 x 578 mm. Two large cartouches both flanked by Indians. Matted and framed (not examined out of frame).
Based on Sanson’s and Jaillot’s maps depicting all five Great Lakes enclosed and California as a peninsula. This is the fifth state, with Otten’s imprint replace. The “final appearance” (Burden) of this plate. Burden II:700.
