TWO AGATE SNUFF BOTTLES
The first bottle, 1750-1850, is well hollowed, the mottled stone showing 'mossy' inclusions throughout accented by irregular misty-white, green and amber patches. The second bottle, 1740-1850, is marked with striking bands of white, ochre, russet and brown tones, with crystalline patches throughout. The sides are carved with mask-and-ring handles.
