Oblong 4° (225 x 350 mm). 12 engraved plates engraved by John June and James Caldwall (first plate with corners repaired, some minor marginal browning, final plate with tiny hole on image). 19th-century vellum-backed marbled boards.
A fine series of copper engravings by June and Caldwall (1739-1819), apparently a later copy of Twelve Views of Chinese Cities, Villages, Streets, Triumphal Arches, and Romantick Prospects; Designd from the Originals done in China, by Mr. Heckel, and neatly engraved by J. Course which was published by Robert Sayer circa 1752.
