Sam Loover JOE 90, 1968
A rare original puppet head for the principal character Sam Loover, Deputy Head of World Intelligence Network from the Gerry Anderson T.V. series Joe 90, 1968; painted composition head, with moveable eyes and mouth, magnetised detachable flap to the rear of the head revealing the intricate mechanics that allowed this head, known as the 'under control' head, to be used solely for close up filming, where normal 'puppet strings' were not practical; mounted on solenoid with control wires and mechanism; in custom built perspex display case -- head - 4.5in. (12cm.) high, with mechanism - 13in. (33cm.) high
