Lot Essay

We are grateful to Fred Meijer, of the RKD, The Hague, for proposing the attribution, on the basis of photographs. He draws comparison with works by de Coninck sold at Sotheby's, London, 17 April 1996, lot 161 and Christie's, London, 18 April 1996, lot 273.
