Imortalised by Hornby, the steam-train Princess Coronation class 4-6-2 Pacific 7P Duchess of Montrose was designed by Sir William Stanier and outshopped from Crewe works in 1938. She hauled the Royal Scot and ran on the West Coast Line from London to Glasgow. She is seen here running in crimson lake livery passing some platelayers.
