    «Vraiment, la peinture devrait être sexy. [...] Cela devrait être sensuel. Ce sont des choses qui échapperont toujours au concept. Je pense que la peinture est une pratique résiliente; si vous regardez à travers l’histoire de la peinture, cela ne change pas tellement et on le voit toujours dans le présent. C'est toujours d'actualité.
    ‘Really, painting should be sexy. [...] It should be sensual. These are things that will always escape the concept. I think painting is a resilient practice; if you look through the history of painting it doesn’t change so much and we always see it in the present. It is still now.'
