Lot Essay

We are grateful to Fred Meijer, of the RKD, The Hague, for endorsing the attribution to Simon Kick based on photographs (written communication, 18 March 2013). A similar composition (with K. Lilienfeld, Dresden, 1927, as Pieter de Hooch) is now considered a copy after the present lot.
