Works of Art from the Mougins Museum of Classical Art is the fifth and final chapter of A Collecting Odyssey, held at Christie’s in London and New York, between December 2023 and December 2024.
The final auction will be held online during our Classic Week auction series. The sale is cross-category in nature, encompassing works of art from antiquity to the 21st century, all inspired by the classical world — reflecting the dialogue developed within the Mougins Museum of Classical Art itself, founded by Christian Levett. Greek and Roman masterpieces will be offered alongside modern and contemporary works in a variety of different media, from sculptures and ceramics to paintings and works on paper, by artists such as Alexander Calder and Damien Hirst.
