    Christie’s is pleased to present a selection of works from the personal collection of Marian Goodman. Beginning her career as a pioneering publisher at Multiples Inc., Goodman went on to become one of the most revered, influential and admired gallerists of our time. She introduced a generation of avant garde artists to new audiences and remained steadfastly committed to those she championed throughout their careers.

    Her personal collection reflects an eclectic and highly considered approach to living with art across categories and price points. Breaking Ground: The Private Collection of Marian Goodman highlights her enduring commitment to prints as a medium, featuring many publications produced at Multiples Inc., including works by John Baldessari, Andy Warhol, Dan Flavin and Richard Artschwager, alongside exceptional paintings and works on paper by David Hockney, Anselm Kiefer, Sigmar Polke and Gerhard Richter.
