A Gilt Bronze Figure of Vajradhara
Nepal, 14th century
Superbly cast, seated in dhyanasana, his hands crossed in front of his chest in vitarkamudra, the soles of his feet with raised chakras, clad in a dhoti with incised hems that flow over his knees, adorned with various ornaments inset with hardstones, the face with aquiline nose and almond-shaped eyes, centered by a raised urna, the curls of hair secured with an elaborate tiara and surmounted by a conical helmet, flanked by two flowering lotus blossoms
