A gilt bronze figure of Vajrasattva
Tibet, 14th/15th century
Finely modeled and gilt, seated in dhyanasana on a double-lotus base with beaded rims and holding the vajra and ghanta, wearing an incised dhoti with belt knotted at the rear, his torso swaying to his right and adorned with beaded jewelry inlaid with hardstones, the face with an inlaid urna and the hair with escaping tendrils secured with an elaborate tiara
