Attraverso / À Travers - Italian and French Art in Dialogue

Christie’s is delighted to present Attraverso / À Travers, a cross-category selling exhibition celebrating the fertile artistic dialogue between Italian and French artists. This curated showcase explores the enduring creative exchange across the Alps, revealing the lasting influence of this trans-Alpine relationship.

Featuring works from Italian collections, the exhibition highlights Italian artists who lived and worked in France, as well as French artists inspired by Italy’s cultural legacy. Spanning design, jewellery, modern and contemporary art, the selection reflects the depth and diversity of this artistic connection. A physical exhibition of selected pieces will take place in Milan at Ersel Bank from the 22–27 November, complemented by a wider group of works available to view online.
