The rectangular Sicilian jasper top with a beaded edge above a concave egg-and-dart cornice with foliate clasps to the angles, the frieze carved with a Greek-key motif and centred by a rectangular panel depicting Apollo in his chariot, above a rope-twist border, on four term legs headed by bearded figures wearing headdresses, supported by scrolls on square tapering legs carved with guilloche motif, on toupie feet
