Christie’s Private Sales teams up with The Andy Warhol Foundation and art dealer and curator Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld to showcase around fifty portraits of celebrities, artists, and socialites by the most important and prolific American artist of our time. This month-long exhibition will take place at Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld’s private residence on the Upper Eastside. Warhol Society Portraits: A Pop-Up Private Selling Exhibition will make available to collectors a curated group of paintings, photographs, prints, and works on paper by the Pop Art superstar, with price points ranging from $3,000 to $1.6 million, many of which have never been seen before. Most of the works are drawn from the collection of The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, with proceeds benefitting the Foundation’s grant-making programs; a few works are coming from private collections.
