Christie’s Jewels Private Sales have curated an exhibition dedicated to Tiaras to celebrate the noblest and most fascinating of all jewels. This exhibition includes exquisite examples of historic tiaras, worn throughout Europe from the Victorian period to the mid-20th century. Join us to admire these elegant examples and rediscover the timeless appeal of these decadent ornaments.

Exhibition highlights

  • An Art Deco Tiara

    Dating to the Art Deco period, this tiara is mounted in platinum and is set throughout with round old-cut and eight-cut diamonds. It converts to five separate components, to include a necklace, choker, bracelet, earrings and dress-clip.

    Accompanied by a fitted case by a Garrard case.

  • An Antique Diamond Tiara

    Of an elaborate openwork design, this early twentieth-century example is set throughout with old-cut diamonds and mounted in gold and silver. It can be worn in a variety of ways and is accompanied by a second tiara frame, along with brooch and hair fittings.

  • An Antique Diamond Tiara

    Mounted in platinum and gold, and set throughout with rose and old-cut diamonds, this tiara dates to the early-twentieth century and is modelled as a series of graduating stylised floral motifs.

  • An Antique Aquamarine and Diamond Tiara

    This tiara is set with a graduating series of rectangular-cut aquamarines, within a delicate framework of platinum and gold, set with rose and old-cut diamonds.
