‘What I See’

London, 28 June – 7 July 2017

This exhibition of photographs by Brooklyn Beckham unveils the playful world of the 18 year old photographer. Presented here for the first time are 24 selected images from his new book what i see. He says that ‘taking pictures has slowly developed from a hobby into an obsession. I suddenly realized that I was constantly taking photos, often of my family, or just going out exploring with my camera every chance I could get.’ In these pictures Beckham composes his most intimate family moments into scenes, each relatable instant is taken out of the digital realm and given permanence on the gallery walls. This exhibition is not only a snapshot into the world of Brooklyn Beckham, but also into the observations of the first generation with an entirely new relationship to the lens.
