    • Led by an exceptional work on paper by Cy Twombly, the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction features a wide selection of works by Post-War masters and Contemporary names. Among them are a monumental Maine seaside painting by Alex Katz, a trio of iconic text works by Edward Ruscha and an exquisite drawing of Henry Geldzahler and Christopher Scott by David Hockney. Other standout highlights are by Harold Ancart, Daniel Richter, Sam Szafran and Peter Doig. The sale also features works sold to benefit the National Portrait Gallery, including portraits by Elizabeth Peyton and Frank Auerbach.
