This October 20th, and as part of our landmark 20/21 auction series, the Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale will offer an exciting selection of works, showcasing the breadth and diversity of British art in the 20th and 21st Centuries. The sale is led by a rare self-portrait by L.S. Lowry, a serene and majestic head carved in Purbeck Freestone by Emily Young, and an intimate strung and painted bronze by Barbara Hepworth.
Key sculptors from the period are also represented in the sale with a selection of works by Lynn Chadwick, Henry Moore and Elisabeth Frink, along with important British artists working today such as Grayson Perry, Sean Scully, Bridget Riley and Allen Jones. British Studio ceramics feature with works from Lucie Rie, Hans Coper and Jennifer Lee.
