拍卖简介

This June, Christie’s is delighted to present Handbags Online: The Paris Edit, a curated online auction bringing together nearly 300 exceptional handbags, including an outstanding selection of 130 lots offered without reserve.

Spanning Hermès, Chanel and Dior, the sale presents some of the most desirable creations in contemporary collecting—from iconic silhouettes and rare special orders to highly experimental and limited-edition designs that rarely appear on the market. It reflects the full spectrum of modern luxury collecting, where rarity, design and cultural relevance converge.

At its core are true “Holy Grail” pieces: architectural Hermès icons, sculptural reinterpretations of the Kelly and Birkin, and highly limited executions defined by exceptional craftsmanship and material innovation. Landmark creations such as the Faubourg Birkin and rare metallic pieces or artisanal compositions highlight the maison’s continuous dialogue between tradition and experimentation.

Alongside these Hermès masterpieces, the sale features emblematic Chanel evening bags and collectible Dior Saddle bags, capturing defining moments in fashion history—from Karl Lagerfeld’s immersive runway universes to John Galliano’s narrative-driven vision of the early 2000s.

Together, these pieces form a compelling portrait of contemporary luxury collecting: objects that transcend function to become cultural markers, design statements and enduring expressions of savoir-faire.

A selection of highlights from the sale will be presented in Paris from 19 to 23 June, offering collectors a first opportunity to discover key pieces ahead of the online auction and to appreciate their craftsmanship and detail up close.

The Paris Edit is an invitation into the world of modern rarity, where every piece tells a story, and every lot offers an opportunity.
