This October, Christie’s Post-War and Contemporary Online sale presents a selection of works by international contemporary artists and post-war masters.
The sale includes post-war works by Jean Dubuffet, Bruce Nauman, Christo, and Joseph Kosuth, alongside contemporary works by Yu Nishimura, Stanley Whitney, Daniel Richter, Wolfgang Tillmans, Sue Webster and Tim Noble and Harland Miller.
Highlights feature a strong representation of contemporary female artists, including Marlene Dumas, Nan Goldin, Cecily Brown, Cristina BanBan, France-Lise McGurn and Charline von Heyl.
In line with Christie’s charitable collaborations, the proceeds from Esther Mahlangu’s Ndbele Abstract will be donated to the American Federation of Arts. The seller will contribute 100% of the hammer price. The American Federation of Arts (registered in New York State, EIN 13-1669334) has confirmed that the funds will support the touring of a Mahlangu exhibition to US museums in 2026.
Also included is a selection from the collection of Tiqui Atencio, a noted author and collector. This group features works by Latin American artists such as Ernesto Neto, international contemporary artists including David Altjmed, Nigel Cooke, and Mona Hatoum and blue-chip artists including Damien Hirst and Ugo Rondinone.
Bidding is open from 8 to 22 October. Selected highlights will be on view at Christie’s King Street from 8 October. To arrange a viewing, please contact us.
