Penhaligon’s

British eccentricity comes in buckets with Penhaligon’s, which was founded in the late nineteenth century by Queen Victoria’s Court Barber and perfumer. For Christie’s, our perfumers have created three scents based on the scent references in the 17th-century Dutch seascape Ships in Distress off a Rocky Coast. Discover the three perfumes, named The Tempest, Caught in Ocean’s Grip and Rocky Shore and explore how the artist’s original thoughts affect and inspire us today.

Sipsmith London

Sipsmith

In 2009, Sipsmith set up London's first copper distillery in 189 years, crafting their award-winning gin by hand in small batches. Their mission was simple: to bring a London Dry Gin of truly uncompromising quality and character back to the city where gin first earned its name. With a nod to traditional hand-crafted production, Sipsmith gin combines traditional copper pot distillation with a recipe reminiscent of one created by an 18th-century master distiller. The result: the ‘sensationally sippable’ Sipsmith London Dry Gin — bold, complex and aromatic, smooth enough for a martini, yet rich and perfectly balanced for a gin and tonic.
