The Egyptian Isis-priestess herms of this pattern featured on a French-style secretaire sold anonymously in these Rooms, 17 August 1980, lot 144. The latter related to another secretaire bearing the label of S. Jamar (d.1826) and inscribed 'Jamar French/CABINET MAKER: Manufactures all sorts of FRENCH FURNITURE in the most fashionable manner 29, WARDOUR STREET, SOHO' (sold by Sir Antony Hornby in these Rooms, 19 November 1970, lot 46).
