As a three-year-old, the colt Galileo was dubbed the Nijinsky of his generation, winning the Derby, the Irish Derby and the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes. He was the offspring of The Coolmore Stud's Sadler's Wells, the most successful stallion in racing.
