Quest'opera ci consente di vedere come Capogrossi, che anche a distanza di anni tornava su idee pittoriche precedenti, cominciasse a utilizzare la tecnica del collage per rielaborarle. Le forme/segno caratteristiche delle sue "Superfici", una volta ritagliate anzichè fissate con il colore sulla carta, permettevano infatti di variare più volte la loro posizione sulla tempera sottostante, fino a raggiungere quell'equilibrio di rapporti spaziali più rispondente a ciò che Capogrossi voleva esprimere in un dato momento (P.
