With Rolex Guarantee stamped Soto-Largo Joyeros, Madrid, dated 4 December 1971 and SotoLargo SL Madrid original service guarantee dated 19 June 1976. Furthermore delivered with a green presentation box.
Reference 6262 was introduced into the market in the late 1960s and remained in production until around 1972. Available in stainless steel, 14K and 18K gold, it was fitted with calibre 727 movement, the "non-Oyster" or "non-screw down" chronograph buttons and a blank bezel with engraved tachymetre scale. The dials featured the designations "Rolex Cosmograph" but not always the "Daytona". The so-called "exotic" Paul Newman dials also available for reference 6262 were either two-coloured white/cream and black or three-coloured, such as the present watch, with the addition of the red seconds scales.
For detailed descriptions and illustrations of reference 6262 see Rolex Daytona - a legend is born by Carlo Pergola, Stefano Mazzariol, Giovanni Dosso, pp. 110-130, and I Cronografi Rolex - La Leggenda, Pucci Papaleo Editore, pp. 320-325.
